  1. Good job Gloria. You are very clear and really “tell it like it is”. Thank you for a nice post.

  2. Gloria,

My Dear, this is a wonderful post. You make the healthy choices sound so wonderful that I had a kale salad tonight! YUMMY! Why do we forget how delicious these foods are and how great we feel after eating them?

I have allowed the weeds to have too much control, for too long. Time to tend to “my Garden”.

    Gloria,
Great information here that is vital to our health. We only get one body and unless we are pro-active early we set ourselves up for long term disease. I love your fresh, direct approach!

    Gloria,
I like your correlation between weeds and toxins. weeds can certainly have a dramatic affect on our garden, our lawn…and our mind. Toxins on the other hand are very harmful to the body. They can breakdown and destroy so much of the healthy cells and tissues we have. Tending to both will improve your garden and your over all health.

    Thanks.

  5. Brilliant post Gloria! I love the food/health blogs and yours is incredibly informative. I will most defo be stopping by every week for your as Sandy put it, ‘tell it like it is’ info. Cheers, Anna

So sorry I have not been posting for quite some time, Anna. I am trying to get back to it. Hope you will return.

  6. Gloria,
You are so right about the toxins in the food we eat. I just recently stop
drinking diet Mountain Dew. I drank at least one, if not 4 or 5 everyday for years.
Now, I drink water and I was drinking regular tea. I didn’t know it was so bad for you. I will have to try green tea I guess.

    Thanks,
    Jaden

  7. Hi Gloria, I like your explanation of how weeds do the same harm to plants, as toxins do to our bodies. Now, when I look at weeds in the garden, I’m going to start thinking about what I eat:-)

I look forward to speaking with you on Tues night Gloria. Regards from Julieanne

I feel very badly that I didn’t keep up the post and the Tribe Tuesdays, but in November I was in the middle of packing up a 5500 square foot house to move into a 2000 sq. ft. house. It has taken me this long to get semi-organized and now I am having a house built and am going through upheaval again.
I am glad you liked the analogy of weeds and toxins. And just as we weed the garden, we have to weed the toxins from our body.

  8. aspartame is good but i think Xylitol is even better because it is natural and organic ,,

    • Gloria says:

I think you must have misread my comment re Aspartame. It is very toxic and should never be ingested. Taken in large quantities, it can be deadly. I know of one case where a woman was being treated for MS and deteriorating even to the point of being in a wheelchair. She had been continuously drinking diet Pepsi and when she stopped, all her symptoms went away. Xylitol is from an alcohol in certain plants such as corn. It is only organic if it comes from an organic source. It is also toxic to pets, so be careful with it. If you want another source of sweetener, try Stevia, but the non bitter kind.

  9. ~,” I am very thankful to this topic because it really gives great information :~;

Thank you Martire. I am so sorry that I have been so remiss in not keeping up this site. I moved and it hastaken me a while to get settled. I hope you will return for more information.
