Gloria,
Wow! Didn’t know there were so many foods that could cause acidity. Thank you for sharing this valuable information for health.

Thank you Krista. There is more to come.

Gloria, I agree with Krista. I really wasn’t aware of all of these foods contributing to the acidity of our bodies.
Great info to have!
Val
Thanks Val.
Hi Gloria,
I know that much of the food that I consume is too acidic, but short of a drastic and complete overhaul… is their a “gentle” way to adopt a new health regimen following your pointers?
I would really like to find a definitive guide to foods, but there always seem to be so much disagreement amongst the “professional” specialists in the healthcare field. Has your research uncovered anything about this kind of disparity?
Thanks for sharing this VALUABLE INFORMATION!
Chris
Dr. Lynda has suggested drinking water with lemon in it in order to alkalize the body and I know that works. The Zeolite I mentioned also works to balance the PH.
I have not really noticed such a large disparity but just the fine tuning. I think the specialists are beginning to realize the importance of vegetables and fruit more than they ever have. The balance between carbs, protein and good fat has changed. I think 2 ” gentle” diets are the Zone by Barry Sears and the South Beach Diet are very good. I would reccommenf The Zone first though, because it is more of a philosophy of eating than a diet.
He presents a balance of 3 blocks of good carbs to 1 block of protein to 1/2 block of fat at every meal. The amount in each block depends on many factors such as your height and your level of exercise. It is a good book.
Gloria:
This is a great post and the information is SO needed, these days!
Our bodies tend to be so acidic and therefore, disease finds a place to live.
Adding fresh lemon juice to your drinking water is one way to help the body and drinking alkaline water is a huge help and one that I have people do on their road to health.
Those are wonderful suggestions. I take the NCD so I think my body is alkaline enough but could you explain about the Alkaline water for everyone.
Hi Gloria: This is good stuff to recognize in our wellness. Your acid/alkaline balance is key to your wellness. Keep posting the good stuff.
Arlan I appreciate your comment.
Gloria,
I did not realize that all meats raise acidity in the body. Thanks for pointing this out! Colas are some of the worst offenders. It astounds me how many people drink nothing but diet cola all day long and wonder why they feel so crummy?
I like the look of you blog! The green smoke is neat.

Mary Lou this is just a test to see if my reply button is working now.
You are certainly right about colas and especially diet colas which are sweetened with aspartame. I heard a Naturopath say that that is the worst poison a person can put into their system.
Good info Gloria. My mom is a cancer survivor (BMT) and swears that her continued good health is due to low acidity. I am new to the tribe and looking forward to more great health info from you.
Jeff Jenson
Thank you Jeff. Has your Mother heard of Kangen Water? It is a negatively charged water and so contributes to
an alkaline body. I don’t have the web site but it is easily found. I know a delightful woman who is a distributor and I have a call into her to get her web site.
